I was performing in a
musical at a theme park in Sin-
gapore when I was spotted by a
TV producer who later asked me
to audition for a television show.
The role was as co-host for a live
variety show on Singapore

After several screen tests, I was
selected as the sole host for the
show, Live on 5. The show aired
in 1994 and was my television
debut, as well as my big break in
the entertainment industry.
